These are a few photos that I played around with in different editing software. I love the popping colors and really turning the pictures into something else entirely. The almost mosaic-looking picture is actually a close up of the veins of an autumn leaf that I took on a walk one day.

    One think I forgot to mention in the summary, the third pic is a photo of an open geode that I took. I collect lots of different stone and crystals so I wanted to try exaggerating that natural beauty in a different way through simple photography and editing.

So this wa my final results for our first photography project. I’ve never messed around with photoshop before this so all in all it was a very enlightening experience. I learned a lot and I’m pretty happy with the results! It’s really broadened my perspective quite a bit and I’m glad to be getting this great experience.:)

As part of a class project, we were instructed to make an expressive piece dedicated to someone we feel has changed history or played an important/incitful role. So I chose to dedicate my project to the wonderful Susan Boyle, an inspirational and courageous woman who pursued her dreams until she conquered them, even while being under the constant scrutiny of others. She truly is a wonderful example of having strength and determination even when everyone tells you can’t do anything you set you heart on. I truly take this lesson to heart, not letting society’s opinion of me rule how I live my life. I wish to stay strong and conquer what I wish to achieve by my own merit and that is why I chose this amazing woman to be the inspiration for this project.
